Last week while at the hairdresser with my 21 year old daughter, she helped me understand that the words may be all right but the tone falls short.\u00a0 As in, \u201cMy daughter is a blonde\u2013\u2013\u2013 those streaks you added are brown. Please correct this.\u201d \u00a0The words were okay but there was an irritation and a certain demanding quality to my tone that was not kind.
